Pumpkin smoothies are fast and easy to make, a very special treat that the entire family will enjoy. After making this pumpkin smoothie you’ll find that it is delicious and healthy for you. This healthy smoothie recipe calls for canned pumpkin, but you can substitute it for fresh pumpkin if you desire.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin or try using fresh pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup milk or vanilla yogurt if you prefer
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in blender and puree until smooth
  • Pour the smoothies into small glasses (this drink is rich) and garnish each with a dab of vanilla yogurt or whipped topping. Than try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a few colored sprinkles to make it fun.

Cooking a pumpkin is easy, use a scoop to clean out the seeds (don’t forget to bake them) along with the pulp. Place the pumpkin face down in a baking pan, add a little water. Bake in the oven for about an hour than removing the pumpkin from the skin.
